Parking in White City, NM

Does anybody know whether you can park alongside the road, in New Mexico? Reason why I ask, is because we would like to spend the night in White City, as opposed to going all the way up to Carlsbad, and then back down to the Caverns. I am thinking that we could park somewhere in the town, and call it a night...what do you think? I guess, I will call the pd and see what they say. Might have a city ordinance about that...I will check.

Guys, we are staying at a cg in White city. I called the pd, and they were very helpful. They said that pretty much all of the city is private property. She said that she could call around, and see if she could get permission for us to stay somewhere, if I wanted. She also said that the cg there had full hookups. I called them, and it was only 30 a night, so we figured why not.

Thanks, Clifford. I just checked, and they are a little farther then we would like. We were going to stay at the WM parking lot, in the town of Carlsbad, but we wanted to be closer to the Caverns. It sounds like they are forecasting freezing rain tomorrow...rough.

BTW, Clifford, when do you go to the big Q? What dates are you there?
