The anti-KOA might be looking to provide a foster home or adoption for a bulldozer and backhoe/loader for the upcoming summer, just figured I'd toss that out there if anyone ran across a homeless problem lol.  The anti-KOA is looking to expand from one or 2 sites to maybe half a dozen or more with other assorted improvements like a better road that a bus could handle.  Thoughts on the matter would be welcome, got lots of time to iron out the wrinkles before we have to deal with our 2 weeks of summer lol.  2 pictures of the anti-KOA as it sits now, ideas are welcome for the improvements.

For those that may be new to the board and arn't familier with the anti-KOA, it's the flip side of the coin in regards to a KOA, for example, all adult beverages must be in the original containers unless they arn't lol, dogs must bark and run free unless they don't, generators can be loud, kids can run and play and even cut across sites, the idea is to provide a refuge from the southern heat or the northern coolness or just to provide the poor mosquitos with a ready source of fresh blood.  Wouldn't it be nice if we could scatter these across the country where busnuts could congregate and enjoy life and lie about their fuel mileage to other busnuts.  Anyway thats the idea of the anti-KOA.

Thanks Cody for getting us new guys up to speed!

Cody... Thats a good idea..Ive got an acre and a half behind my yard just waiting for a project...What a nice thing it would be to have a few spots where folks could park their busses and visit the area at no cost. kinda like a country wide camping co-op.

Wish I were closer. I have a JD 410D backhoe/loader sitting here doing nothing. I bought it because I was going to build another house, but that hasn't happened, and may not. I have too much $$$ into it to sell it, and no truck and trailer to pull it. I think it would be too far from MN to road it  :)

We also have room for a couple ( or 3 ) with 50/30/20amp power and water.

Its a mite far north for some; if you're travelling across Canada, its a great place to stop.
And you wont find any cheaper spot to stay.

Coordinates are North 49 Degrees 53 mins 22.63secs  West 100 degrees 0 mins 9.79seconds
or just 2 miles west from Brandon Manitoba Canada.

Yep Bill, Jack is a perfect example, he's been there for all of us, a perfect example of what jack has done for us busnuts just ended at the turner center for this year, Jack and others like him have sponsered rallys and gatherings of all sorts, if you look at the calender you'll see rallys from texas to the west coast, up and down the east coast, across the south and even in the northern regions where the mosquitos are thick, in the midwest, all over, then look at the help listings, these are busnuts that are going the extra mile on the basis of a phone call, the name could be paul, or bryce, dallas, or gumpy, or nick, or don, or clifford, it doesn't matter who they are, the door is always open and the coffee is on, can anyone ever remember being told by another busnut that there is no room for them, to move on?  Can anyone remember being told that somebody has no interest in  helping another busnut, this is a very remarkable community and if I can open my yard like jack and so many others have done, I'll do it in a heart beat and the coffee will be on.  At one rally that I was at, a busnut limped in with a tire going down, I couldn't get close to the bus to help, there were too many others that got their quicker than I did, this is the group we are involved in, maybe my small part will be to have a cup of coffee and a spot for somebody to park and relax for a while, all I'm doing is what is alrready being done all over the country by other busnuts.

Or nicer people to drink apple pies with!

Speaking of which, my apple pies are not as good as yours. Teri got the right stuff when she was in Canada bear hunting this fall, but they just don't taste as good as they did
by the fire last summer.

What you don't understand is that it's already set up. Cody is just adding to it.

There are many people on this board who have outstanding offers for other busnuts to stop by and spend a day, a week, or more with them. Many
have installed electric, sewer, water, etc, and welcome anyone who want's to stop by and play show and tell.

What we don't have, is a directory of everyone who is making these offers.  Hint. Hint.

Craig is absolutely right, this isn't my idea, only my joining the movement, many others have several hookups for visiting friends, some are simple arrangements and some are more extensive but all involve a welcome mat. And a directory would be great.  I've had hookups for a couple of buses for a long time but now i'm heading for the longer term hookups for busnuts that may want to set down and relax for a while longer without feeling that they are in the way, no busnut is ever in the way but I'm trying to give more room, I'm just opening up a larger area so people can stretch out and relax.

Nothing tastes as good as when it is served by a campfire and with great company. Tall boots are usually in order though ;D

I have read somewhere that a couple people had busnut quest site's but I just didn't know who they are or how public the invite was.
Still good to see your taking the next step with adding more site's up there.
