Parts from an emergency generator (low hours)

Have a friend with a diesel powered generator that has less than 200 hours on it. The engine is 6V71, still on the flat. I am not sure what the generator portion is like. It was purchased as a backup power source for a home in the event of a power failure, but has not seen much use.
