Bussin' 10 is almost here

    Bussin' 10 is almost here.  We presently have 115 coaches registered and usually have 12-15 show up unannounced. Entertainment is all confirmed (Nellie Wilson is sitting in our backyard), and we have 9 vendors coming this year. A fellow busnut is doing the catering for us this year.
    Got a phone call yesterday from a Texas busnut, that several were just leaving Texas and were on their way.  For those traveling, especially in the east, be careful on the roads. We would rather have you arrive a day or 2 later than have you in a ditch or hospital.  Jack

You can add me to the almost sure to arrive unannounced list.
The group I'm hauling to Orlando , has not yet given me the final word on whether or not they will be wanting to use the bus for shuttling (even though the original quote/contract was w/o shuttling) or not. I have told them that if they are not going to be using the bus, they won't need to pay for my room since I won;t be there.

At best right now I can say I'll be arriving in Orlando early in the afternoon on the 30th and dropping of at the Marriott-Orlando-World Center, then going to the airport and picking up a group and transferring them back to the hotel.

So I may cut loose and come on down from there late evening on the 30th, or just pop up with a plate and my hand out for breakfast on the 31st.

Either way I hope to make it.

Jack, libby has been talking about the rally a lot lately, she isn't even close to being ready to travel but watch out when she is lol.  She has talked about the rally, the great people coming and going from your place and how much she enjoyed meeting them and visiting, especially the rally at the horse place and the rodeo, we both enjoyed it all, like i say, watch out for when she is ready to travel, I don't think I can control her anymore and I try and I try to keep her out of trouble, it's really difficult for someone as shy and innocent as I am when they get involved with a person like her. lol

I already got drivers whining;
"You can't take that trip, that's the best trip of the yr a wk in FL and no shuttling?",
"Man yer killing us taking all the work!",
"Naw, man we need you in the office things get to hectic when your gone!" ,
"Who's gonna be there to go off on people, when things go wrong? You just can't go off & leave us like that!"

So my answers to them have been (and in this order!)
"OK I'll let them use the bus for shuttling 14 hrs a day, & YOU DRIVE IT! "
"Yeah right I get 3-4 trips a yr where I am specifically requested on, or I drive 3-4 times a yr when everyone else has {other} plans, other than that I'm stuck in the shop or office!"
"Well I guess ya'll jest have to not tear up any anvils w/rubber mallets while I'm gone this time huh?"
and last but not least! & my absolute favorite response is.......tada!
"Awe well how does it feel knowing you ain't gotta worry about that either since I'll be in the only bus out that week?

I tell ya they got me all teary eyed! sniff, sniff! .......

You know. Maybe that's the whole problem with world politics. If they all had buses, they wouldn't have time or money for war.

And yes maybe you should teach them about converting buses, you could be like Obama and win a Nobel Peace Prize!
