What is this

Well i do not know what this is and i have no paperwork on it. Im sure one of you guys can easily identify this but i do not know what it is. I have 2 AC units so i hope its not another one. Thanks-Josh

Ya the buttons say : HI,MED,LOW,AUX,EXHT,COOL

The unit itself is alot smaller then the AC units

Yep, it is a swamp cooler. It is now called a TurboKool. I have one in my Courier 96. It works great as long as the weather is dry, like out West. I installed it above the driver/passenger for cool air while driving, since I don't have dash air. I tapped water off the bathroom sink. The water pressure pump has to be on to supply the unit. It was simpler and cheaper than a second roof A/C, which would have also involved a inverter to run it, as well as a bigger alternator.

Well i hope that the bus never gets warm by having 2 AC units and a swampcooler. I dont think that it even gets that hot here is oregon

Swamp coolers are only for use in really dry areas.  They add humidity to the air as part of the cooling process.

That's right. So you either use the roof A/C, or the swamp cooler, but not both at the same time. The TurboKool is nice for driving because it blows right on top of the driver and front passenger. Also for short stops, say shopping in the middle of the day, it keeps the coach reasonnably cool, and it doesn't consume much 12Volt at all. When camped, we use the roof A/C, either plug in to shore, or with the generator. The bus is not set up with a big enough inverter to run the roof air while driving. Plus it is back in the kitchen area, and the old bus doesn't have dash air.
