Does anyone know of any lists of bus/RV friendly developments in FL? I eventually (2-3 yrs) want to sell my home in an airport community in GA and move to a neighborhood that allows bus/RV garages attached to the home. Thanks.

I dont know of one specific, but I know they have them, seen them, knew someone yrs ago who had one. They are really pricey though, I guess just because of what they are.

So your neighborhood is airplane/hangar friendly but doesn't like your bus?
That sounds strange.

There is a real nice one in Titusville called The Great Outdoors RV & Golf www.tgoresort.com. We stayed there for almost a week to watch the space shuttle take off.

It is ownership based and has everything from 2500 sq ft homes with attached garage for a 45' bus to a parking pad with a small shed.

One model home we looked at had a beautiful Prevost sitting in a climate controlled garage with it's toad sitting next to it, very cool.

There is one section of the development that is devoted to class A motorhomes only.

They are a self contained community with their own post office, church, convenience store, RV repairs, etc.

The section of the community we liked had covered parking for the bus and a 1200 sq ft efficiency unit for guests, family or your own use. We looked at quite a few of these units and it was amazing what the owners had done with efficiencies.

We stayed in a section that overlooked the golf course, the tee for the 15Th hole if I remember, and it was real nice.

One downside for some is they don't allow motorcycles except in the new section which is all homes.

Hope this helps.

We have many busnuts friends that live in Mount Olive Shores in Polk City, FL (near Lakeland).  Park their buses right at their houses.  Jack

My idea is that no particular one spot is perfect so a combination of several would miss it closer, florida is perfect in the winter but would get too warm and humid for me in the summer, northern michigan fits just right in the summer time so that leaves the inbetween seasons spring and fall for step down and step up, the mid section of the country maybe tenn would be a thought for the inbetween times, thats kinda one of the reasons i bought a bus, so I can see whats over the next hill on a warm sunny day lol.

Thanks folks for the replies. Philip, my airplane community is very bus friendly. In fact my wife and I developed it.  No problem there. I just have too much property to be caring for in the future. I need to down-size before too long.
