In the AM,

I will head to Baltimore to pick up a VIP. Then bring him and two others to Linchburg VA.

Then WAIT.......Thursday AM I will return the VIP to Baltimore and then back to NJ..

I can't disclose any info on the VIP but, I do know his Helicopter is out of service for a week!

The $$ for the day is just too good to pass up.

This should be intresting!

I am trying to figure out how much is seriousness, and if there is any jokes in your post. I am thinking that you are pretty serious, right?

Have fun! I have known guys who do drive VIP's around, and yes, you do have to laugh at their jokes (it does egg them on, sorry).

How did it happen? How did you get the job offer? How did your Prevost proud buddy let you take this trip too? And, I am also wondering how much is "good money?"

Sorry for all of the questions, but I do want to see pics too!

God bless,

John

So Nick sounds like you're gonna be a "chauffeur" now ;D !
Just be careful which jokes you laugh at, if it's about either of their current wives just smile and nod no laughing! It'll make the rest of the trip go smoother! ;D
Hmmm, maybe I need to list you & the Prevost as an excutive coach and we can both make some extra $ ;D !

Just curious, what are the differences in licensing of the vehicle, the driver, and the business in order to move into revenue service from personal use in the US?  In Canada, the drivers license can be the same (not always, I am not licensed to drive a bus with more than I think 12 seats) but the vehicle license would be different, most likely, and the business licensing would be radically different.

I guess I'm a little shocked that you could use an RV bus for VIP revenue service, but I think it (the Prevost) is actually a VIP entertainer set up isn't it?

Thanks and not trying to start a "discussion" here if you know what I mean.  I'm really just curious!   :D

Brian let's just say it can be a quite complicated thing, and I was just joking as our insurance would never let me use a private rv in revenue service!
I only mentioned it as a joke to Nick as there are many issues and extra costs of doing a legitimate "chater service" vs "doing a friend of a friend a favor now & then."
Of course in the event a dreaded mishap, it's all out the window then anyway, and it can and usually does get real hairy!

I'm Home..

920 mi round trip. I think I endured everything but snow.

Rain, traffic jams, lot's of hill climbing, stupid cars..., and bad directions!

26 hrs without sleep, I'm hitting the sack..

Nick-

PS, I passed a MC5 conversion with roof sky lights 3 O'clock this morning. We were headding north
on I-95 and he joined me above Richmond, VA. Anybody know who this is?
