I spoke with Wilma this evening and she said that Ned is doing great, and had been up walking around.
She also said that the surgeon has said if the cardiologist releases Ned tomorrow (Saturday), he can go home!
So if all is well tomorrow Ned will be riding on the couch of "Huggy" on the way toward NC.

I'm so glad that he is doing so well, and able to head home so soon! ;D

Poor Wilma.  Now she will be on her own trying to keep him from overdoing it.  You just can't keep a good man down.  Yippeeeeee for his quick recdovery!

That's really good news!

So who is going to drive huggy?

And they are going home, not bk's, right? I am just trying to picture St Cody and dear old uncle Ned being together and not getting rowdy. The problem is I can't picture it. Can anybody else picture it? ;D

God bless.

John

Their son Doug will be playing "chauffeur" on this voyage!
Although I did offer to drive them to NC, store "Huggy" or a parking place beside St. Cody if needed!
Doug has experience and lives in NC, and I think they tought it'd be too much tempTation for St. Cody. So it's probably best that they chose Doug & NC so he can recooperate in peace while working on some of his MG projects! ;D

Great news! Thanks for passing it on CAT! I was about to call & check up on them, but hated to "pester" them. I'm certainly glad he did well enough to be able to go home so soon! Also glad to here they had a safe trip!
Now Uncle Ned can get back to working on his MGs and transplanting a DD into his old ford van! ;D

Uncle Ned & Dolly,

So glad to hear of your progress, you were the topic of all conversations at various times through the weekend.  Take care, worry about nothing and get well soon, I am sure many others are looking forward to seeing you at many more rallies.  It was just not the same without you'se, but we all know there really is a God!!  Our prayers were and still all with you.

Well after a few days of fine western tenn hospitality. At Jackson,Madison Country Hospital ,And rolling way home in huggy.

I am finally able to set up and start to catch up on every thing.

Can not say enough about the fine people of Tenn. From the EMT,S the first responders the air crew that gave me the fine night flight to all the nurses and doctors.
The emt people looked after Wilma and sam got her up to the hospitle the next morning.
But most of all the fine busnuts that we all have. Wake up to see Bryce and Cody checking on me and Don calling all the way from Calif and slow rider and so many others

And the call and thoughts from every one mean so much at a time like this.

As you know this is not supposed to happen to your self it only happen to other people.

thanks to all
Uncle Ned and Wilma

PS Hugy cruised acros Tenn on I 40 with a new driver. My baby brother came over and drove me home
i am afraid we may have a new busnut. Coming up through the tenn gorge at day break he had the window down so he could hear the detroit growl

I'm sure you didn't mind the music either.

The extremes some go thru to get their family hooked on buses.   ;D

Glad you're back to posting. You have some catching up to do.  ;D

How long before you're back in the driver's seat?

I met up with Jara Smith many times over the years at FMCA funtions.
My most memorable however was in the early 80s at the FMCA summer national convention in
Lexington, KY. We were parked in a corn field about 100 miles from the convention center.
Converted Coaches could count on lousy parking in those days.
The temperature at that rally was hotter than in Columbus in 1997.
Jara and I made several trips together for fuel for generators. Mostly gasoline jobs then.
I still had my '06. I can't remember too much about the convention itself. My "Nocold" fridg died
and I was able to buy a replacement at the convention. We converted to gas right in the field.
As hot and miserable as it was, we all had a fun time and I still am quite friendly with most of the people we were parked with.
Uncle Ned, I'm not sure if we have ever met. But I wish you a speedy recovery. You should be good to go
in time for Bussin' 10

Alan,
I am sure you have met Ned, just didn't realize who he was. He & Wilma have been to most of the Bussin' rallies. I never will forget the HUGGY BEAR cake Wilma made one year that was a likeness of their 4104 "Huggy Bear".  Jack
