This is going to be one of the best gathering of buses at TBR so far. I have received notice that several Flxible's, one Scenic Cruiser and of course the usual Eagles, GMC's and MCI's will be there.

I can't wait, it's only one month to go to have some famous Texas style BBQ and of course a Chili Feed by Big John and Blu! That's one thing we like to do is eat good!  ;D

See Ya There!

I know how you feel! We could not go to the Eagle Rally in KS this week due to my college schedule and moolah! :'(

Anyone know who was in the converted bus going west on I-20, seen about 45 minutes east of Midland at around 7:45 AM this past Sunday.  White bus with 2 black windows, John said it looked like Christy's bus.  Anyway, if you're one of us, we saw you!!!

Well, shoot, no it wasn't us :'(.  Wish it had been. . in severe "bus trip" withdrawal. ..need to pull the front tire and repair a very slow leak, but Larry's back has given him fits this Summer and he's having to do more work on company trucks than he really should, so pretty much, he's got a few weeks until our Rally in Carthage to get it off and repaired, and if repaired, then he's got to pull a dual and put it back there, so that will be no fun either!   :(

I'm also ready to start on the inside woodwork of Bigbus, but again, he's got to pull out a cattle guard, and then get the dozer out and fix the drive down to the back yard before we dare attempt the hill.  I sure would hate to see it high-centered, ha ha.  Whoops :o

Anyway, if it HAD been us, you'd have seen a crazy lady waving her silly head off at you, ha ha.  Christy Hicks

We won't have the 4107 there, but may drive up on Saturday for a visit.

The coach is still in the shop from getting hit in the front end.  I was hoping to get down to the shop today/tomorrow for a status update, but work is finally keeping me busy.

Once the insurance work is done, we're having some other maintenance/repair done, and we're getting a quote on a paint job.

Good to hear you might stop by anyway regardless! Hope you are able to resolve the unplanned modification to the front. What color/s are you going with?

One of the local bus collectors painted his transit in a really nice cream -- just the color I've been looking for.  I'll get the paint number from him.  I saw the bus a couple of weeks ago, and it was a good paint job.  I'd like to find a maroon scotchlite tape to add some contrast.

The coach really needs paint, but business has been slow for the last 2-3 months.  It's picking up now, so if the price is right (it'll need soda blasting, first), I'll go with the cream.  If the price is really right, I'll add the maroon (either scotchlite or paint).

The painter is just south of Dallas.  If it works out, I'll let folks know here ... I do know there have been some other painting threads.

We have 15 confirmed registrations, with room for 20 more in the Cedar Hollow area. I have heard from at least 5 that are pretty sure they are coming, but have not committed yet.

Along with the makes already posted I just received notice that an RTS is going to be there. Now if we could get some other marques we would have it all covered. Prevost, Dina, Setra and Bluebird and anything else I forgot to mention. It's just fun seeing them all in one place at the same time.

We will have fun regardless!

We're still waiting to hear whether we'll be attending a wedding reception that weekend or not, we were SO glad that she wasn't having the reception this coming weekend 8), since we're having our rally in Carthage, MO, and would have had to have someone cover for us.

We haven't missed one of yours yet, but are a little worried this time. :(

I do know that at least one of our rally attendees will leave our rally and head to yours, so that's kind of neat.  I'm figuring that if we get the go-ahead at the last minute, you won't turn us away at the door! ??? ;)  Christy Hicks

Hi, just wondering if any of these bus get togethers are ever in Late Nov. to early Dec. We would love to see all the busses. Maybe some day the timing will be right.

ruthi,

We moved the TBR rally from September to October this year, too many issues last year due to hurricane season and humidity. It should be much cooler this year, which makes for a nice fire at night. Usually rallies around Nov. and Dec. might run into holiday conflicts, dunno.

But then you have Jack's rally over New Years, cause it works for them.

Christy,

Hope it works out for you guys this year, if not, blame it on your daughter! ;D
I think Bob and Sandi Gilbert are the ones you mentioned coming to TBR from your rally. Have fun you guys, maybe we'll make yours next year!
