Personally-I would have both front wheel studs replaced with aluminum wheel length studs.  Since it is an Eagle-most likely it is similar studs to truck hubs-so the job should be relatively easy.  No such thing as being to safe.  Good Luck,TomC

The stud stretches inside the wheel holes, the threads must be checked their entire length, checking the threads where the fastener is now doesn't show you the problem.

Pull the wheel off and run the fasteners all the way to the hub and back.

Wheel studs are another of those preventive maintenance items...if you haven't stood over them for their entire installation, you don't know what you've got and it is money well spent to put some fresh ones, then never let a gun near them again.

This province, Ontario, regards a wheel-off as an absolute liability occurrence.
The wheel being off the vehicle due to fastener failure while underway makes you guilty, no further explanation needed.
