Found this on craigslist. I wrote the guy and asked if he'd accidently put in an extra zero. He said he did not. He's starting high and letting it come down. Gonna be sitting on that one a long time!

I don't suppose that was a" friendly" tone in his reply to you?
Some one put it better than I awhile back , "somethings are priced to sell and somethings are priced to keep"

It wasn't too bad. He said he was starting high and letting it come down. I replied withK8 "Good luck" and told him an 82 MC9 will go between 3K and 8K depending on engine
condition, mileage, and rust. He replied that he agreed, but was not in a hurry. I didn't detect much animosity in his message. Good thing he's not in a hurry. I suspect he'll be
sitting on that one forever at that price.

Maybe he is accommodating a family member during estrus by pretending to be selling it.
You don't have to believe everything you think.

Nothing upsets me more than watching some idiot put an unbeliveable price on something. Sitting around chatting it up with friends, laughing about the stupidity of it all. Then they sell it for thier asking price!!!

Remember, even at a Mensa convention someone is the dumbest person in the room!

LOL.  Yes, there are a lot of idiots with money out there. I've seen things sell on Craigslist for more money than you can buy a new one for.

Well, more power (and $$$) to him if he gets his asking price.

How about a piece of burnt toast on ebay for something like 3 grand or a piece of leftover brussel sprout for over a grand.  Makes that bus look like a lot better deal to me! ;D
Used to own a 1968 MCI 5A and a 1977 5C.
