For what it's worth Doug, that bus is the one I believe is based out of the state prison at Portage Wisconsin.  Wisconsin is meticulus on vehicle maintanance and I believe you'll get a complete history on it right down to tire pressures, they are almost as anal on that as michigan is.  The policy in regards to the snowbird fleet in michigan is that nothing wil be allowed to happen to jepardize a maximum security move.  The buses we used in michigan were all MCI's painted white so they became known as snowbirds and each day a crew not only scoured the buses for contraband, they also went completely thru them for any mechanical anomalies that needed to be addressed and that bus wasn't fired up until a shift commander had signed off on it. For what it's worth I guess if it were me I'd feel better about the prison bus, wisconsin is very much like michigan in how they approach their fleet.  Another, note is that the buses are also removed from service and sold long before any brown haired transport supervisor is given a chance to get his first grey hair over the equipment.  The portage prison was where Jeffery Dahlmer locked until he was killed by a porter.

Prison bus has a rear door which would be nice to have . . . . . could make loading certain items easier. . . .

The prison bus would solve all those problems of securing stuff.

Just close the cage and take off.... ;D

Prison bus? Pros and cons....um....

Pros - nobody can break in
Cons - Interiors a bit, uh, spartan

Pros - Basic industrial look, probably already has lav. Lots of stainless steel, easy to hose down
Pros - Rifle rack, might have built in duck blind in rear
Pros - It's like a Roach Motel, once the miscreants get in, they're right where they belong

Chick bus?

Pros - maybe it comes with the chicks?
Cons - see above.....what cons? Let them ride the prison bus!
