Fuel filter???

I am also going to replace the fuel filters, when I change the guys oil on his "351" cummins (in a sticks and staples RV). From what I have read, to replace the fuel filters, you shut the fuel off, spin the old ones off, and then fill the new ones with fuel and spin them back on.

Is that correct? I assume I don't need to prime the system, right? Anything do do or not do?

John the 351 cummins is sounding more like the 5.9, small block pick-up engine, that was popular for awhile.

It could be. I haven't seen it. The guy said that the "351" was the model number (I didn't disagree, besides, that is all that he knows, when I see the engine, I will tell him what it is).

  don't forget to turn the feul back on............

  Don't know about what you got there but check to see if it has a drain on the feul tank.
When I change feul filters on a rig that has a drain I like draining any gunk out of the bottom of the tank.

   Wish my bus feul tank had one..........

That is actually a '315' Cummins.
I am no expert, apparently it is used in boats, motor homes and I saw where a Peterbilt had a 315 ISM in it.
Is that what the Dodge pickup uses too?
