Ok the bug bit me hard.  I have learned lots about bus conversions in a short time, with able assistance from a number of you.  The plan is on Sunday to fly to VA to pick up this unit on Monday and then drive it home to MT.

If anyone has thoughts as to why this should not be the ONE, please speak up now.  Otherwise we'll see you soon in a nearby campground.  Yea my professional bus converter is going w/ me to hold my hand.

Good luck.  Take a GOOD look at it.  There are plenty of coaches to be had, and if this doesn't ring right to you, PAY ATTENTION.  Don't be afraid to fly back to MT if it's not exactly what you need.

Looks like a really nice bus conversion.  Just inspect it very carefully, pretty can cover a lot of ugly.

My only negative comment isn't about the bus, but rather the photos, I sure hate it when they use a fish eye lens to make it look more spacious inside.

I looked at that bus. Corian counter top is broken hardware on drawers needs replacement wall is cracked on right side near bathroom. Generator is in first bay passenger side probably loud if sitting in that area. In my mind not worth the asking price.

That's a great looking coach and the Mirage chassis is wonderful.  As long as the chassis and drivetrain is sound, things like countertops or door pulls are pretty simple to fix.  The stuff that costs serious money is brakes, drivetrain and suspension - as long as those are reasonably fresh and free of major rust then it looks like a keeper.  And this board needs more frenchy-bus owners.

You may want to talk to BK about Sawyer, might be an interesting conversation.

Probably too late now, but I suggest buying round trip tickets when going to look at a bus if you haven't inspected it beforehand.  You might be more tempted to take home a bad bus if you have to buy ultra expensive last minute one way tickets to get home.

I took a trip out to look at my bus before buying it.  I knew I wasn't buying that trip so I had round trip tickets.  I did one way tickets when I actually bought the bus as I had already seen it and knew I was buying it unless something had changed since I saw it.

Make sure and take a GOOD look at the bus.  I got my shell from them, and well, lets just say I wasnt very impressed after the sell, but, I was a newb so didnt know any better.  Also, I had their converter(Mike I think) do the roof raise, install the generator,and some other things,  I was not impressed much by him either, he ended up cutting all the wires from the back of the coach, and while cutting, he disabled all the warnings, ie....overtemp warning and shutoff, coolant level, low air, gas guage and on and on.  NEVER again.  so check it over with a fine tooth comb, dont let them explain away anything, and contact me by email if u want the particulars.

From the pics, it looked like a nice bus. BUT they didn't show enough pics of the engine (okay none).
