Dallas

Here's a picture of Codys house last month, LOL

cody

Dallas, your pretty close lol, I've seen snow up to the eaves a lot of winters, my job growing up was to work my way to a window and shovel down to it so we could get light into the house, we do get some snow in the winter lol, thats why I was so much like a little kid in a candy store at jacks, no snow lol.

Cody, Thanks for the pic, that sure is a lot of snow. We get all excited (not really) about six inches down here!!!

Now I just don't understand why you aren't out riding your bike. Seems to me that you could make something out of wood, for the front to sled on, and then make a traction device for the rear tire so it would end up being something like a ski-do ;D :D :D ;D. Yup, if I was you, I would take the bike down where it was a little warmer to ride it...

God bless,

John

Glad someone else akeid how I get my bike on the bus!

Ok, I dont' have a bus yet....  >:(   but I do have a bike!  ;D

I think a bus towing a bike trailer is a bit more than I want to drive.

Oh yeah... the bike...

I'm still looking for folks who know how to stuff a bike in the baggage bay! Anyone?

Blacksheep

I haven't tried mine yet and although its been lowered and my bays are rather large, I sort of think it would fit just fine! My golf cart without the roof just missed fitting by 2 inches and that was the steering wheel!

Ace,
I have seen a golf cart that had a disconnect put in the steering column for easy removal and another that had a U joint installed that allowed the column to be "laid down"  Just somthing to think about, if yyou want to stuff the cart in a bay.  Jack

Ace,have you tryed loosening the handle bar riser clamps to lower the bars ?I know of a couple of bros (FRYED BROTHERS BAND)that travel in their Prevo that do just that ,and take their harleys with them on tour.good luck.

Yea Jack, have seen that done and have considered it until we got the trailer for the golf cart. It's pretty lightweight and easy to pull not to mention load and unload. Just haven't considered giving up the bay space. Right now my spare tire is in there along with grilling stuff, extra starter, extra water pump, extra extras!

Van, not sure if that would help on my bike since I have a broomstick bar on it now and it is straight across as it is! Again, not sure I want to give up the lockable storage space where I have a lot of "JUNK" stored in case I need it! :)

Well ,outside of utilizing an enclosed trailer for the toys, there is a cradle available that attaches to your receiver that allows you to put the front wheel in it and tie down the handle bars and allows the rear of the bike to pivot thru the turns,a very inexpensive alternative for short trips, only set back is the bike is exposed to the diesel soot and debris off the drives.

I saw a S&S with one of those and the  motorcycle was leaning to the left. I imagine by the time he got where he was going the rear tire was ruined. Obvious to me that he was not making regular checks on his toad.

I wouldn't trust my bikes being towed behind the bus in anything but an enclosed trailer. They sell pretty cheap ones at places like Home Depot and such. Granted you get what you pay for however. The only bad part of trailering your bike behind the bus is watching all the bikes passing you and knowing they are having a lot more fun than you are. In most instances the ride is the best part. Yea don't you know it! I'm still trying to figure a way to trailer both my golf cart and bike in my enclosed trailer for when we go to Myrtle Bch.. The problem is once we get there at the campground, no motorcycles allowed in the park! They must be kept outside in a fenced in area! Not sure I want to leave my bike unattended!
