Can you remove the A/C frame work in the rear on a MCI 102A3 with a 8V92? We would like to us the space for a tool box or Batt. bank. Thanks, M&C

We removed the compressor and rocking mount in the rear of the bus. Now we have the 2 supports (frames) that is welded to the side wall and the main frame that supports the 8V92. I will take some pics and post them on our Blog; http://singinglandcruiser.blogspot.com/

Of the 2 remaining "frames", we cut out the one closest to the engine compartment side door on our MC-8. YMMV, Jack

It looks just like my MCI 7. My air was already removed and I found that I could drop 2 group 31 batteries between those rails and it keeps them nice and cozy. Minimal movement and convienient location to do the wiring for a new master disconnect.

No problems so far, about 30,000 miles since removing. That is where we installed our aux. air compressor. Bus batteries and battery disconnect switch are directly in front of the compressor. Jack

Sure. Better, though, to find a way to incorporate the framework into your design.

Looks like I'm the mirror image of Jack! I keep the compressor there because I find I pull it out for other jobs (such as the interior of the bus!) more frequently than I remove the start batteries. I also can just grab the compressor out of the way to work in that bay.
