Hi All,

Brian diehl came over tonight to double check my work and make sure I wasnt going to break something at startup and the batteries were low on charge and with it being 40 degrees outside she wouldn't start.

When I told Brian about my inability to find some of this rubber seal to seal off my radiators he suggested I run it by you folks. so heres a couple pix of what it is I am looking for.

The hand in the picture is supposed to give perspective.

Thanks in advance for your help and hopefully she'll start tomorrow morning. I have the block heater plugged in and I am gonna put two chargers on her bright and early.

Say a prayer that I got everything back together correctly.

My first call would be to Luke at U.S. Coach to see if I could find the real McCoy. (or insert your favorite bus parts supplier here).

If I exhausted my sources for finding the original part, I'd start looking at other options for a suitable substitute.   There are on-line places that sell extruded rubber and weatherstripping in all kinds of cross-sectional shapes.  Case in point :   http://www.metrommp.com/

For whatever you choose, just make sure it can handle the temperature range for which it will be exposed.
If you're going to be dumb, you gotta be tough.

If it won't go FORCE it ---- if it breaks it needed to be replaced anyway

spray foam around the perimeter.

Tighter than any rubber will ever be, and it'll come out when it's radiator time the next time.

happy coaching!

Gary,

That looks perfect!!

I think 10 feet would do it but 15 would be awesome.

What do i owe you and how do I get you my address?
