A while back we asked for places to visit and eat while in the St. Augustine/Daytona Beach area. Thank you to all who gave us suggestions. We had a blast. We spent a lot of time on the beach, in St. Augustine (including the Fort), Daytona Speedway, Daytona Beach and Coco Beach. We also had some great seafood.

As far as Beverly Beach Resort (www.beverlybeachcamptown.com) in Flagler Beach. It was great. We were right on the beach ($85 per night with 7th night free) and it was great. We saw dolphins and stingrays from the beach. Even got a picture of a stingray jumping out of the water. It was easy in and easy out.

We have stayed in Florida a few times during Spring Break, but this was the most relaxing. We have stayed at Camping on the Gulf in Destin ($97-$132 for near-beach and on-beach), which was nice, and Bluewater Key RV Resort just outside of Key West, which was amazing (and expensive at $150 per night to be on the bay, complete with tiki hut and private dock but no beach).

Beverly Beach is now our favorite. There were guys fishing from the beach, a few families with kids and a lot of couples. The grandkids loved it and my wife, who is not crazy about Florida, loved it. She suggested we go again next year, and maybe every year.

Dennis/HI YO SILVER, if you get the chance to take your MC9 down that way again give it a try. I think you will love it compared to the KOA.

I am going to try to attach some pictures.

Hi yo silver

Thanks John, for the report. That's what I was hoping to hear.  I'm on it!  Marilyn and I are hoping to make it back to FL this year sometime.

Hi Dennis,

We miss it already. We met two families from Virginia in the campground and saw a lot of Michigan license plates. If you make it to Flagler Beach try the Fisherman's Net Restaurant. It is just south of the pier and the seafood was great.

I don't think that the pictures I attached worked before so I tried it again. Were you able to open them?
