thought someone might like this.  I don't know anymore about it than the ad.  They ride like schoolies so not the bus for me but it takes all kinds.

Cool looking old bus. Priced right!  ;D
Hope someone can save her.

I like it! ;D Where's PickPaul? Is he still looking for an inexpensive bus?

I don't think this is a Silverside which I consider to be the 3751 and 4151.

This looks like a 4102 or 4103 to me which is a very beautiful bus.

People who own the pre-air bag buses tell me they ride like baby buggies!!

I would love to have a 3751 as much as I love my 4104 and I looked long and hard for one before I bought this one.

I  looked at a 4103 before I got my '04.  It was a nice bus but much more cramped than an '04.  The one I saw had a sunken alley down the center so there was no head room off the aisle.  Had a nice sounding 671 in it,  but really it rode like a garbage truck.  My feeling on springs is that when you get the right load on them they can have a really nice ride, but when they don't there is nothing worse.  When my band used to run a schoolie it was horrible empty, but when we filled it with PA and gear and people it was a nice civilized ride.  Just had a thought, maybe water ballast.....I should get back to work

Zub,

Most, it not all, schoolies are built on truck chassis. There is nothing bouncier than an empty schoolie.

Heavy vehicle spring suspension systems are designed for best operation at normal load. An empty 18 wheeler rides better empty than with a load because it doesn't jerk you around as much, but it takes a lot longer to stop empty because the springs are so stiff the tires skip. You've seen these skipped tire marks on the highway.

This may not be true now with so many new brake systems and air ride suspensions. My experience was with springs before I got the 4104.

Cle Elum is a wide spot in the road on the north side of I90 just south of Roslyn; filming site for 'Northern Exposure'.

PD 4103s and pre air suspended GM transits were VERY bouncy at speed.  Can still remember riding in the back seat of Fifth Avenue Coach 4509s at 50 mph down Riverside Drive in NYC.  Over bumps a ten year old (me) could bump his head on the ceiling.  4103s were the same way and the Greyhoud 03s were geared for very high speeds.
