no signals , any ideas?

Spring isn't here yet, at least not in Manitoba however it was nice enough to fire the old girl up after sitting since October. I put all the batteries back in and after  cracking for a bit it fired up. Sounds good. However I have no hazard or signal lights. Is there a fuse somewhere? Any ideas?

Yeah, move here. Nobody uses 'em & wouldn't know what they were for if you did use 'em. 


Seriously, using the wiring diagrams, start at the switch to see if it is getting power, then chase the circut from there. . .

are you hearing the flasher clicking??? Should be either under the dash or around your left foot. Sometimes just moving them around allows the relay to make contact. Hope this helps

The only diagrams I can remember had a separate flasher for the turn signals and the emergency flashers.  The only thing in common to both of those was the power line and the fuse.

must be the power line then as neith work or make any noise. I'll see if I can find it. No power at the haz switch.

here's a little something that works on some flasher set ups.  Basically if the flasher is dead the flasher light will turn on but not flash, you need to get out to see if the turn signal is lit, if it is change the flahser relay (available anywhere).

If it's a "9" look in the outside electrical panel, drop the fold-down door and the
flasher should be right there. Mine is electronic and makes no noise and was mounted on the drop-door.

The fuse circuit/breaker should be to the right in the nest of breakers.

Mine was supposed to be up under the dash but they had moved it to right down by where you rest your left foot kinda tucked away behind some fabric. The turns signals and the hazards are on the same circuit with mine (1981 MCI 9) and I have never had a problem since I sat the thing upright. It works great now... go figure.

Also the turns signals and hazards did not work at all on mine, they never lit without blinking. they didn't do anything

Is is possible that the PO switched the lights to 12V and was using a center tap from your batteries and that it didn't get hooked up when you put the batteries back in?

Or pest got in to shew on some wires.
Or corroded wire terminal's end finally broke off after long freezing frostbite weather.

all really good ideas, thanks. Everything looks pest free, never found any dropping in the living area either, wires look good. I think what I was looking for was the location of breakers , fuses etc. which a few of you have helped me out on. I had been fooling around with taking an after market sterio out of the drivers area which lead me to believe I screwed something up, again ha ha . I will check the wires etc. I suppose I could have even dilodged the flashed by mistake but I would have thought the lights would have come on and stayed on. I have checked for power at the haz switch and there is none, so I guess I'll start to follow back.

My hazards and signals use the same flasher so, on my coach, that's where I'd be looking first if both were out.  YMMV

thanks Bob, don't even think about heading north yet, -30's last night here in Manitoba, if I don't get this going by next winter you might be able to sublet a cargo bay out to us!!!
