I have the opportunity to trailer my bike behind the bus with either an open trailer or a closed trailer. Which would you prefer to do is you had a choice?

My open trailer is used to haul golf cart and what evers when ever and the enclosed trailer is for hauling bikes. It's a Haulmark low rider. It was designed to haul two bikes, even with windshields as it has a dove tail floor just inside the ramp. It is low enough to go IN a normal size garage to keep the deed restriction police at bay, not that we have those where I live!

Pros for open trailer is, it has a tilt bed, a wheel chock, single axle, light weight, very easy to move around, needs nothing!
Cons are, bike will be out in weather, bus debris while towed, Bike needs to be locked up.

Enclosed trailer pros are, bikes out of weather and no bus debris, no need to lock up bikes, can leave parked and trailer locked!
Cons are, trailer is heavier and very hard to move around, dual axle, needs new paint, needs new tires, possible new floor!

There is the possibility that if I use the enclosed trailer, I could sell the open trailer. I could use the enclosed trailer to haul the golf cart when needed and the bikes when needed but not at the same time! It's only 12 foot long.

Or...

You could go back to the place that built your concession trailer and have them build you a custom trailer to haul the cart and the bikes.  Have them make two doors near the front to load and carry the bikes crosswise in the trailer and the regular door in the rear to load the cart.

Then sell both of the trailers you have now to recoup some of the cost.

Or not :)

Who boy, been really busy at work this week and it's a good thing since I have been a spendy little beaver with this new toy of mine. So far, I have purchased new tires front and rear, new tubes, new seat (so she can ride), new headlight (didn't care for the one on it), new rear turn signals, one that can be seen, new chain and sprockets, new plugs, new shocks (rigid wasn't for me, well her), new lowering kit!

Ah if I could only finish the bus this fast! Oh yea, I DID just have a lot of maintenance done on it so I deserve a break. Wait I AM in the process of installing 12v rope light and I DID just change my electrical so my fridge works off my inverter, and I DID just installed drawer latches in the kitchen, and I DID, wait, times up. Gotta get some sleep!
