Transmisson cooler advice..... Jack Conrad are you there???

Every seal you mentioned in your post on my bus is shot!!! Brian Diehl took a look at it for me and made some great suggestions to fix the problem. Luke at US coach is sending alll new seals, a new air filter and I am mounting a HD Hayden transmission cooler like Jack's shown earlier in this thread.

I think my transmission is fine but I have 1/2' gap around the edges of my radiators and the door seals are completely flat with the corners leaking like sieves. Same thing around the squirrel cages. I don't drive my bus as hard as you recommend ( I'm learning) but it will be alot easier to hold it to the floor if it doesn't respond with 200 degree temps.

I am trusting that these things are going to fix the problem. We'll see.

Correcting all those problems should at least make a sizable difference  Jack

Jack or Brian may have already mentioned this, but FWIW, if you use your bus in really cold weather, the Hayden cooler should be covered or shunted. 
Install a transmission oil temp guage and you can monitor the temp. 
Automatic transmissions dislike cold conditions about as bad as hot conditions.   
OEM engine oil/water coolers assist in warming the transmission in the winter.   
You probably couldn't over-cool the transmission in the summer, it definitely could be overcooled in the winter.

why not change to synthetic oil and add another filter the results are going to be about the same a 10 degree drop in temp.Makes no sense to me you heat oil for a purpose then try and cool it.   Would somebody please explain this to me as this has never been a problem for me with the Allision and the factory cooler.

If you're talking about synthetic motor oil, with as much as my two stroke leaks/burns it would be out of the question. If you're taling about synthetic transmission fluid I was under the impression that stuff is super expensive.

rick i was talking about the synthetic transmission fuild it is not going to cost as much as installing another cooler  I am sorry for not being clear.
