How come there is a no #2 rule in entertainer coaches?

I think cheap plumbing and even some very nice coaches are inadequate.

If you have small tanks and no separate black tank it could be an issue. Otherwise I don't see any issue. I have an 80 gallon black tank and there is no reason not to use it. It performs to high expectations under all conditions. My grey also performs well but I almost never close the dump valve. Grey is essentially clean water to me and I possibly risk a rude awakening some time for letting it escape but have not had an issue in many years. However if it was a combined waste tank it would always go to the dump station and alot more often.

I can go 7 days on the 80 gallon black, but need fresh every 4 days (230 fresh) to sleep/shower up to 17 people a day. If I hold the grey I need to dump @ day 4 if I don't I just need to find more fresh.

If you have a well designed water system you can use it and be very happy with it. I have not had a combined waste tank but I can see that it would create alot of black that would/could create issues.(Odor, frequent dumping, overflow, cleanliness if you have to service it every other day etc).

There are some secrets in SOME of the entertainers that you might rather not know about.  I was only associated with one (unnamed) company but assume they are all similar.

The waste tank did not even have a hose connection, just a driver controlled air operated valve that dumped directly below the coach straight out of the tank.  I learned this the hard way when I accidentally hit the switch INSIDE the shop.

Eighty miles an hour down the interstate at oh-dark-thirty.

The #2 rule is for a couple of reasons .....one, in 340 square feet the aroma travels fast and could provide an unpleasant experience for the other passengers. ...two, no good vents in an entertainer coach...and three, usually one tank holds both grey and black and is not as large as a motorhome coach. Now on the star coaches things are usually business as normal ...the #2 rule usually applies to band buses and or road crew....but all you have to do is tell the driver and he will find a suitable truckstop or rest area for you to take care of the problem ....just remember to leave your laminate on the drivers seat or the 500 foot rule takes effect ....but that is another story ...LOL!!!

You have to leave your laminate on the drivers seat or dash area if you leave the coach ...that way the drivers know you are gone ....drivers do not do head counts before pulling out of a venue and or truckstop ....if you fail to do so you will be running after the bus ...hence the 500 foot ...you are left 500 feet behind ...and trust me it happens alot !!!

Entertainer coaches are notorious for being plumbed with little tanks, and with poor or no tank ventilation.

Not to mention poor to no proper venting of the washroom, or the rest of the coach, for that matter.

If properly designed, there is no problem doing whatever you want with an entertainer coach washroom.

Illegal dumping of the toilet tank is just wrong. There was an incident a couple years ago, coach dumped through a grated bridge onto a boat in the river below...Chicago maybe?

I have been left a few times - but not for that reason. Most everyone does at one time or anyother. Usually for me it was after a show so all I had to do was catch a cab back to the hotel. Never been left on the road thank goodness!

I worked in many a entertainer coach back about 7 years ago and although they were mostly Rusty Eagles and a handful of Newer Prevost, they all had human dumping facilities. They may have been small compared to what we as campers are used to but they ALL were equipped with an on-board dumping station. I never saw a coach that had any means of dumping while driving although there was a friend who did his own conversion and had a wire that would open the grey tank. He claims he only did it while going down his dirt driveway into his private property returning from the trip.

I can see where it would be easy to leave someone behind too. Some coaches I worked in had as many as 12 bunks. Keeping track of all them drunks would be a hard task. Yes they DO drink and get drunk! The interior condition proves it!

I don't know if they dump while on the road driving but I have seen Hemphill  come into Flying J and dump without hoses and never leave the seat at the dump stations there made for the tour operators with the open grate they drive over it and dump.I do myself sometimes if I am  in a hurry.   good luck   better make myself clear at the station not the highway

I have been on entertainer coaches that would pull off on the side of the interstate at night and flip a switch to dump without ever leaving the bus. Not a pleasant thought.

I recall riding the train in 4th grade and and all the boys were in the bathroom watching the gravel go by when you flushed the toilet.  
It had a brass flapper that just opened up
