Hi Dreamscape
I like the looks of that. We have chosen to use the oil rubbed bronze finish ones that Lowes has in the cabinet section as all of our fixtures are oil rubbed bronze for the antique look. Ours is on the backsplash in the Kitchen and the Bathroom. BTW, it's okay to keep the boss happy because as you say, you will be very happy!!

Our prevost have some curve to the wall but these panels have alot of flex in them and will follow the curve of the wall just fine. In fact, they follow the wall much easier than tile.

We did a little experiment with these in a test mock up of a shower. Because of the size, you have to use several to make the wall and I noticed leakage behind them to the wall. Since I have plywood, I didn't want to use them but you could probably use some type of barrier between the plywood and the panels and be okay.

Because our walls taper in from bottom to top about 1", I furred out the wall on the stove side to make it square and plumb.

It's nice to see someone else with similar tastes and ideas.  ;)

That's what so neat about sharing what we do to our coaches. Sometimes all we hear is "Broke Down in Timbuktu" ;D

I'm hoping I can tackle the upper cabinets next, that should be challenging! :)

Paul,

Great progress.  Thanks so much for showing me around on Saturday.  I definitely enjoyed getting to meet you and your wife.  The project is looking great and you will have a very nice ride when you are done.

Have you decided how you want to do the upper cabinets?  Are you going to try and build your own or adapt something from HD?

Hi Brain,

It was great that you took the time to stop by in Sunny Abilene TX!  :)

I have decided to go ahead and build my own uppers. I just hope I can get some doors to match, or close to the ones on the base cabinets. For the price they want, and I have to chop them up to fit, it just makes sense to build my own. At least that's how I'm thinking at the present.  ;) I will probably pull off a door and take it to a cabinet shop and have them match them. I just don't have the proper tools to join the rails.

The boys in Blue were sure making a lot of noise the past couple of days, what a great sound to hear when the B-1's take off. Maybe your brother was the culprit! ;)

Take Care,

Paul
