Thanks for sharing the pics! It's always a great thing to see buses huddled together in sunny weather!

Keep 'em comin'.  ;)

Ace, does this mean that if I come to Arcadia you will buy me a new car.  What a "goodie" that would be.   ;D ::)

I see some good looking Eagles in those pictures! (Good looking buses in general!)

Who is representing Eagles International down there and telling these folks about the club and website?

Kwajdiver

Sally and Ray Nukala, are here with their "Cat's Meow.  Also Our World, Houston Express, The Roaming Buffalo, Ace with Fools Gold and the beautiful Never Forget (9-11).

Mike and Loni Lillard are also down from Pioneer, Ohio, glad to get away from the ice and cold.

Lots and lots of buses and more rolling in.

boo hoo... we were on our way when the engine quit.  Pushed it back home (about 30 miles) with the Tundra pickup that we tow.  Slow, but it got the bus into the driveway.  Found "catastrophic valve train failure" and now Kirby is in our garage, making preparations for engine replacement.  Wish we could be there pickin' with the group under that awning.

Well, I'm sad now. We just got home from Cedar Rapids. Had to spend an extra day there because of the ice storm that rolled through yesterday.
Took the car instead of the bus.

I was looking at the photos of the buses at Jack's party, and wishing I was there. Was supposed to be there this year, but the job got extended longer than they originally planned.
Damn work! It sucks that you have to work to make money to feed your hobbies (and family).

I've seen the toll salt has taken on Craig Shephard's bus.  His steel wheels are pretty rusty from his winter time trips.

Salt was not the cause of the rust on my wheels. It may have been a contributor after the fact.

Corrosion will always be a factor on your bus, hitch, wheels, etc, regardless if you use it in the winter or not. Steel rusts when it gets wet. Maintenance and upkeep can
minimize the effects, but it will still rust.

Someone told me there were $49 flights from MSP to FL. Not sure which airline. Maybe Sun Country. Pack a bag, hop a flight to Orlando or Tampa. Rent a car
and go see the rally. Someone there will probably have an extra bed or couch you can crash on for a couple nights.

Craig doesn't mind the rusty wheels he enjoys USING his bus! LOL! FWIW ;D  BK  ;D

I put on about 6,000 miles this year and am planning about 7,000 miles in 2009 so it isn't like I don't go anywhere.

I very seriously considered how I could make it to Busin' 09 this year.  I found a flight to Tampa for $301, but rental cars in Florida are $80 a day this time of year so the rental car would cost over $300.  It just got too expensive to go in the end.

Oh well, I'll actually try to put this on my schedule for next year and plan well in advance.  I just wish I could lock in today's diesel prices.

I'm burying diesel in mason jars in my back yard in anticipation of the prices going up next year..
