Thank you EVERYONE!

My day so far has consisted of my daily 2 mile brisk walk around our beautiful park, went shopping for more candy since Susan and I chose to stay home rather than work like we have the last 5 years and practiced on my Axe for the last hour. No not cutting wood! You music buffs will understand.
Let me say too that having Birthday thoughts from you guys and Cat means a lot and very well received on this end but to tell you the truth, it's kind of different with my Dad not being here. I can't explain how I feel. I know I should be happy and I am for the most part but I guess I am but being home alone all day with Bud still allows you time to think. That's my problem I know! I think too much!
I sure miss my Dad!

Thank you Sir for all the help you have been to me and anyone reading the board.  The history seraches will last a good long while.  My personal legasy is those plastic bags I insist on at the groc store.  I figure they will be in a land fil for 200 years after I am gone.  Gotta leave somthin, right?

My friend you Dad isn't gone as long as you remember him in your heart.  Remember him and talk to him and cry with him.  It's OK...honest....and healthy.  After you have had enough hourlong chats you will have covered all the ground you need and it will get easier.  After you have had your cry's the laughter will set in to fill the void that grief leaving always creates.

I don't want you feel a bit better than you can and I know that a time will come when you can properly celebrate "your day".  Love is the ability and willingness to accept for another what they want for themselves, without any requirement that they please you or meet your expectations.  Mnay love you that haven't met you friend.
