does not stay signed on

why don't I stay signed in?  Have to resign in each time.  Yes I have checked stay signed in forever.

Did this just start happening or has it been doing it for a while?

The forum uses a "cookie" on your computer to keep you logged in.  The most likely cause is that your computer is blocking the cookie.  This could be an overly agressive browser cookie security setting or a similar overly agressive setting in a computer security program (i.e. adblocker, anti spyware, etc.)

IE 7 defaults to a security setting that doesn't allow cookies to be set.  This could be your problem.  There are various reasons that IE 7 could revert back to default.

Allow Cookies and it will work. I suspect that you are also having
the same trouble on other sites too.. All Cookies, The best part is
that you can allow or disallow cookies in most browsers if you take
the time to figure it out.

I have found that some antivirus programs remove all cookies unless you
tell them to allow certain ones.

I only allow chocolate chip cookies...
