Gray - No stove. We have a combo convection/microwave oven and (2) portable induction cooktops. We mostly like to cook outside with the grill and with the portable induction cooktops we can cook outside or inside and they can be put away to allow us to use the countertop space as we'd like.

Please excuse my extreme ignorance. I googled
WWAI and even went to:

Steve it stands for While We're At It ;D I like the Whale Watching Assc of Iceland though, Quite catchy ;) ;D

Correct. The only heat comes from the pan that the food is being cooked in.

Sean,
Very nice work. Impressive.
Did you fabricate the solid surface tops yourself?
I am a woodworker, did our Formica tops 10-plus years ago. Would like to replace them with Corian (Blue Crush) but no one will sell to me since I am not a 'trained, professional installer'.
How did you get around this?
Thanks in advance,
Mike in GA
Mike,
I had Meyers decorative surfaces fabricate them & install for me. It was pricey...about a grand for the 3 countertops the sink and the sink cover.
They sell them in sheets of 3 x 5 for about 300 each (here in Wilmington). Cheapest product I could find was going to be about about 500 for the job. I figured the extra 5 was worth the pain and suffering for a pro install (plus I don't have the pro tools to do the edges nice and tidy).
These are not corian btw. They are Formicas solid surface line. Same thing...different colors.

You have come a long way!
Very clean looking, anyone try concrete? I have fabricated some for home and will replace my tile counter in the bus with concrete at 1.25 thick so the weight is not really a problem and the designs and color are endless.
Looks great and at $1000. its a great deal to! dave
