It was mailed towards the end of the last week of October, a few days later than our target mailing date. Based on previous months it seems that the average delivery time line has been 2-3 weeks, with some taking less and some taking more, in some cases rediculously more. Based on that, most of the people who didn't get it this week, should get it next week.
We are in the process of getting a permit from the USPS for "Periodicals Class" which is supposed to be nearly as fast as 1st Class. But until we have that permit, we are still having to mail by USPS Standard Class (formerly known as Bulk Mail), except for International subcriptions and those that paid the extra for U.S. 1st Class Mail. Unfortunately, the USPS makes no sevice guarantee or even an official estimate of delivery timeline on Standard Class.
Off the record one Postal employee elaborated on how Standard Class mail is handled. It is the filler used on their transports. We deliver it to the Post Office Bulk Entry Unit here. It goes into the queue to serve as filler on a truck to take it to the ADC in Atlanta. That usually happens the next business day. In Atlanta it goes into a queue to serve as filler on transports going to other ADC's areound the country, this is where much of the delay likely takes place as they process truly incredible volumes of mail. At the ADC's on the receiving end it goes into a queue awaiting space on transports going to the regional Post Office for delivery. If the destination address is served by a smaller local Post Office, then it again enters a queue for space on a transport to the local Post Office. Once at the Delivery Post Office, it is handled with last priority which can vary depending on mail volume and staffing levels.

I am however very concerned about you not having gotten October's yet. That was mailed September 24. If you haven't gotten that yet, it is evidently lost. Please contact me with your subscription information at web@busconversions.com (but please do check the stack of stuff, mailing another one out First Class costs us three times as much in addition to the cost of the original)
I do appreciate your help. I will indeed look for the 10-9 issue when I get home since I don't want to put the burdon on you if I'm just a slob. :) Thank You again.
Not a slob Milton. Just busy doing things you want/need to do and there is definitely nothing wrong with that. I will share a short story.
At one time in the corporate office I used to work in, I had a peer that had a roughly equal workload as me. They kept their desk spotless and was somewhat "proud" about it. The rest of us had the usual amount of "stuff" on our desks. The two of us shared a clerk to help with tasks. That clerk spent most of his time helping my peer with their job responsibilities. I allowed that and didn't really mind it because I prefered to do most of my own work.
Eventually the time came that the clerk got promoted to another postioin and the company was tightening up so we lost the clerk position. Within a matter of a week, somebody's desk was a mess and it was very frustrating and humbling to that person. As it turned out, they didn't have "better organizational skills" than the rest of us, they simply had more help with thier work load than the rest of us. Once that advantage was removed, they had a mess. Eventually the mess leveled out to a comparable level to the rest of us.
Moral of the story: A pile of stuff on the desk is not a bad thing when you have lots of things to do.
My November issue came today, life is good.
