Wow :o
Kinda looks like a big ol Stainless refridgerator going down the road! :D
Talk about pushing a brick through air.....

This is the third or fourth time this bus has been listed. I wonder what gauge siding he used? It looks REAL thin and wavy to me. Merry Christmas Everyone!
Glenn
That looks terrible! Even if it wasn't warped it would look terrible. But hey, they are on the road. That is more than I can say so I won't throw any stones.
I've seen this thing advertised elsewhere, it always reminded me of Frankenstein. Muhahahah
Alot of times I look at other peoples coaches to get an idea of what to do, however sometimes i also look to get an idea of what not to do.
That right there, is a perfect example of what NOT to do!!
Yeah I've seen this bus listed on ebay quite a few times. I'm beggining to think pretty soon the guy will spend more money on advertising the coach to sell it than how much he actually spent on this. Last I remember hes been trying to sell it since at least august!
I for one think the owner is proud of his work, not my cup of tea though, but I bet many hours were spent building it. Sad to say only the guy that built it will enjoy it. It's been listed many times.

I've ran across this particular bus not only on Ebay but other bus listings as well. It does tend to stand out. Lowest it was listed was at $25000 and one ad had it at $55000.
This shows how each coach is suited to individual taste. We customize them so narrow to a design that suits our taste that others may think it is wayyyy out there. To me this one is wayyyy out there, but I bet the owner was really proud of it when he finished it. I hope he finds a happy home for it someday.

Reminds me of the old Crown and Gillig pancake engined book mobiles and studio grip trucks where they basically cut off the bus behind the driver's area and made a cargo box grafted to the bus left over the driver's area. Yes-it would be a brick going down the road, but that's how you maximize the interior area when the bus is just a 96" wide. The extra 6" to 102" wide is noticable. Good Luck, TomC
My guess is when he built it he love it, as he probable thought it is unique and there will be none other like it. But now that he wants to sell it has become an albatross around his wallet. Personally I don't think it looks very good, and I think a lot of people think the same thing because its been for sale a long time with no buyer. The thing is an ugly ducking, and at that price makes it hard to swallow. This is a good example of why you want to try and make your conversion as attractive as possible in case you want to sell it later.

maybe he should donate it to charity & take it as a tax write off 8)
LOL I'm not sure any charity would want it looking the way it does right now. I think he needs to restore the roof to it original look to sell it, but with the state of the economy he's just in a losing situation with such a butt ugly bus. Then it will still be hard to sell because he has it priced so high, and he would never get back the cost of changing the roof back. I feel sorry for him. If he gave it to my charity the first thing I'd do is tear the roof, and the sides off, and return it to a more conventional look.

He could donate it to " Help BK with his first conversion" charity! I live so far out in the country nobody will see it unless it hits the road headed to a hurricane relief effort as a bunk house! ;D BK ;D
Well, the interior looks good in the pictures. The exterior is definitely unconventional, but I would not say that it makes the bus unusable. I suppose, with a little bit of getting used to, one could see it as a positive in that it is unique. Unfortunately for the seller, the more unique an item is, the less of a market there will be. In this case, he can only try and get what he can for it. At some point, the right price will find the right person. The way the market is, he may still be far from that price. When he gets there though, someone will be getting really good value for the money with merely an aesthetic downside ( as long as it can fit under normal overpasses).
he could pay me $5k to take it away 8)
Sorry BK, and Circusboy I call first dibbs on the donation to my needy charity, that being me LOL. But BK I'll drive it down to TN and let you work on it, and Circusboy I'll let you wave to me as I drive by, heck I'll even blow the air horn for you.

Too bad he didn't get the sheets ribbed to match the stock lower parts, there'd be no waves in it then...
The wavey exterior could be recovered with some extensive use of 3M decals...rent it out as a mobile advertisement?
With some sneeky creativity, there might be a deal here that can get cleaned up
