Well I contacted Garrison about my slack steering and they say they will sell me a new Garrison unit to replace the old one for $852.00.  I think I may be better off investing the money in a more modern integral system. So I need advise on what will retro fit a 1972 Provost. I've included a picture of the current steering box to show what I need to replace, the hydraulic unit picture is included in my other post, `STEERING SLACK` If you've done it please share your knowledge, I have a large shop and the ability to do the work, it's just something I haven't done before and don't know what parts will fit.......

Fraser, take the photo and measurements of the mounting brackets go to a truck salvage yard and you will find one to match the unit.I don't for sure but a friend of mine got his from a Mack made in the 80s they are out there just may take some time to find the right one or buy a new unit for about 3 grand  good luck

Talk to Bab Steering.  I haven't talked to them in many years but they were most knowledgeable and helpful to me.

Hi Fraser, another member, coachconverter, has a later model prevost xl, that he is parting out.  the box might fit yours, with some modification.  It doesn't look much different than your picture.

You might contact him, and get the information.
