We are lucky even though old Ike paid us a visit in East Texas.
We have the GMC Buffalo beside the house and using the diesel generator set for power to the freezer and refrigerators and other items like the computer.
While cooking our lunch we had a small flash fire under and inside of the 2 burner propane stove top.
It did not cause any damage but sure scared my wife and my self.
I removed the stove top from the bus and opened the back panel and I found two fittings cracked at the control and shut off valves for each burner this problem was caused by a over torqued condition from the factory
The brand is a Princess glass top by Sea land two burner.
Now to find parts to fix the problem.
Perhaps we will have power back in a day or so.

i had a similarly lucky event just a few weeks ago when i was checking my tanks.  one was almost empty and i also needed a tank filled for the home grill.  as i was checking i found one of the hoses was leaking at the crimped fitting in my middle bay twin tank.  put the tank back on, sprayed it with some soapy stuff and sure nuff, was leaking.  went to the propane place to get the tanks filled and they replaced the hose.

that's two lucky finds for me.  first the park break leak with the sound only if the bus was running and park brake off, then the accidental find of the propane leak.  both potentially fatal.

whew, i should be goin to church more.
