Am I lucky or not

My wife and I bought a piece water front  property (1.5 acres) in Anahuac Tx 3 years ago took for ever to get the title straighten out, haven't had a hurricane hit there since Carla in 1961 trying to build our house now and 3 hurricane have hit the area is that luck or not I bet the locals blame me for this.No jury duty today maybe my luck is changing
