On Sikaflexes site I found #292 is what I need for my skinning project. Would
I be correct?  Now, how much working time do I have to rivet? How much does it take like bead size? Best place to get?

Sika 252 is the stuff most busnuts use.

Be SURE to use the proper primer as well or you're wasting your time. Lightly sanding the surfaces with a clean disc sander is a good idea, AFTER wiping with 99% isopropyl alcohol (get it at a printing supply, called IPA99 or such) to get any grease or body oil films off

They say the working time is under 30 minutes but I found it varies depending on the temperature.  On a cold day can go as long as 1-1/2 hours...

Bead thickness should be around .100 inch NO less- use spacers every 6" to maintain the thickness...stick them in the bead as you go and then put the skins on.
Someone on this board offered free teflon spacers if you'd send him a SASE (oh, that was me... i still have some)

Holding the skins on 'till they cure with BiG supermagnets works great if you have steel underneath, just be sure to place the magnets over the spacers so they don't squeeze where they shouldn't

Most folks used to get the stuff at International Bus parts in Florida

252 is what you need. Prevost Canda has it for about $10CND a standard caulking gun size cartridge.

you will not regret purchasing an air operated caulking gun from Harbor Freight.  It was the best money I spent skinning over my windows.  It was under $20.00.  It allows you to put down an even bead without your hand hurting.  The Sika is thick and doesn't come out of the tube as easy as some caulking.  I used the little plastic spacer that you use to space ceramic tile.  they are the right thickness and I just place them in the bead.  Wish you luck.

Has any one used the 3M 2 sided tape .100 "  to hold the sides in place while the 252 dries?
