I have spent the last couple of days prepping the front and covering the sides. I finished yesterday and we had one of those Texas sized bluster thunderstorms and blew off the plastic I had on the sides! 

Don't ya just love it! Now I get to redo it this morning. Then if conditions are right I'll shoot the cap, visor and breastplate today.

I may not have a show finish for TBR but I'm bringing it anyway. 

I promise to park in the back!

I hope your paint job comes out better than mine.       I never did get all the mixes, paint, pressures and guns right.     Going to have to go to North Florida and get Fred to help me respray it.  Really thinking about going white.  As soon as I get my tax refund....

  Living in Florida, that is a wise choice.  I have shot the temperatures of several different colors during mid afternnon in the sun with a laser temp gun under similar conditions.  Temps ran from 113 for gloss white to 146 for dark metallic green.  White was by far the coolest temp including mirror finish SS. All that extra heat being absorbed has to be eliminated by the ACs.  Jack

Bill, We chose a mid range metallic blue. I had thought of white too. Not only heat but it's easier to work with and it more forgiving for a newbie. You won't notice things like dust, bugs and runs! Then you can just sand them out and say goodbye!

Jack is right on, it's a cool color.

Paul, You probally know but be careful with plastic. If you put it over fresh paint it will trap the solvents from the paint and ruin the finish if it is against it.  Tom Y
