All three stations have competitive gasoline prices, but not diesel prices.  I have fueled my diesel car at the $4.67 station a lot because until the last few weeks they have often been the low price station by a few cents.

Maybe the three stations are owned by the same person!  Think about it, would be a clever way of selling fuel at elevated prices with no one complaining because it is so much higher at other stations!  I think weird, comes with age.  John

Diesel was 4.01 yesterday here in Baraga.

At one time within the last year or two all three stations were owned by a local fuel distributor, but one appears to have been sold now.  The $4.18 station has a very competitive price right in the middle of the price range across the Twin Cities so it isn't like they are trying to rip people off.

I did see on twincitiesgasprices.com that some stations are now at $3.99 which marks the first time below $4 in some time.  Barring major disaster it looks like it won't cost anywhere near the $5 or $6 per gallon we planned on for a trip to Witchita at the end of the month.

$4.21 yesterday at a truck stop in Tye TX. The day before it was 4.27. Maybe it will continue to drop, I only put in 30 gallons for now. Here's hoping.  ::)

Best place for fuel, and obviously, no one from the board is there, is in emporia, ks.  flying j has ulsd and lsd for 3.939.  Pembroke, NY is still using up the expensive stuff at $4.399.

i'll be running out there later to top off about 80 gal worth of the cheap stuff on top of the 60 gal of $4.749 from my last fillup.

Is the Emporia Flying J the last exit before the tollway?  I'm heading down to Witchita in two weeks and we'll probably stop there for fuel.

I noticed that Flying J propane prices have skyrocketed!  $1.99 last fall and $3.19 now.  I suppose I shouldn't be surprised with oil prices these days.

3.939 at Gary, IN, Peculiar, MO, and Emporia, KS Flying J.

also, in case no one else got the flyer from flying J, then now have a credit card that you can get the cash discount with, as well as a discount if you have their RV courtesy card.

i'm sure the price above is the cash price, so you can get an added $.01 off with their RV card.

never been in a Flying J RV island where the charged extra for credit cards Loves will get you.You don't get the $.01 at FJ anymore unless you spend money in the overpriced c store and restaurant

white-eagle

i don't go to the flying j rv island.  tooo sloooowwwww pumps and narrow island.  usually the turn up past the front doors is a pain also.  my wheelbase doesn't turn a 20 foot circle very well without an air horn warning going off as someone starts backing up toward me so they don't get behind me.   ;D

i pull in to the truck area where the fuel is less and a cash discount as posted on most signs.

we do shows so my driving is partly for a living so i got no problem filling at the truck pumps.

and yes, you do have to buy a ton of stuff to get a discount at the overpriced store or the restaurant that serves a whole lot of bad taste for a reasonable price.  but don't tell anyone i said that cause i don't want one of flying j's waitresses spittin on my plate.  we ate at one and i wish i'd had a pb and jelly sandwich in the coach instead.

Some FJs are tight I have 45ft and get in bind but the truck islands are always dirty and  the wife does not diesel in the coach plus I live Scottsdale and use the Rv island to save the $.08 a gal even if i do weigh over 26,000 they don't bother me
