Are the front and rear brake drums still available? Along with the shoes and hardware kit? What kind of price would I be looking at? Also where could I find this items at?

I don't know about bus brakes, but I know that truck brakes (15x4 in front and 16.5x7 in the rear) are about $90 for the drum, and $100 for the lining and spring kit.  Just to give you an idea of cost.  I know on my transit, my drums are very different at 14.5x7 in front and 14.5x10 in the rear-but this is why transits stop better.  Good Luck, TomC

P.S: I just checked with Bendix brakes since they are making the air discs available as an option on Freightliner trucks, if they had a retrofit kit for changing drums to discs-so far they do not.  Just like tire models (Michelin makes over 15 different models of tires for on road trucks/buses) brake linings have also become very specific.  Make sure you choose brake linings that are not too hard (like semi metallic) that while they are good for stop and start and going down long hills, they need to get warmed up to work, which doesn't work for our type of driving.  Most brake linings will have an axle rating on them.  Choose a non organic that has a good to excellent heat rating for long down hills, but yet will work well when cold (like coming off the freeway after two hours of running).  Good Luck, TomC
