torque vs hp

what is the torque and hp for the 6/92 8/71 and 8/92 i see that the 6/92 has 315 hp is that not what the 8/71 has?

When you turbocharge an engine, you also raise the torque, even with the same injectors.  So an 8V-71N with 65 injectors is rated at 304hp and 800lb/ft torque.  Put a turbocharger on with the same 65 injectors and the rating is 325hp and 975lb/ft torque.  With 80 injectors the 8V-71TA will put out 400hp and 1200lb/ft torque (standard Detroit rating).  The 6V-92TA with 90 injectors will put out 335hp and 1050lb/ft torque.  The 8V-92TA with 90 injectors will put out 450hp and 1450lb/ft torque.   Good Luck, TomC
