I have a 1963 GM 4106. I am wanting to replace my 22" steering wheel with a 18" and it has a tapered shaft with a 3/16 key slot the tapered end starts at 1.030 and increases to 1.130.  Does anyone know of an adaptor so I can get a standard steering wheel or where I can get one that fits?

I'm probably not the brightest bulb in the lamp when it comes to resizing pics..but I took this on of my VIP wheel for those of you interested in 'small wheels' and sent it to Bob.

Having been aboard some real nice GM's, and some of you do a great job, just imagine how much a wheel like this would dress up one of those old antiques!  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Whaddaya think, Cliff? ;)

I installed a VIP wheel and tossed that 22 inch 2-handed monster...

I am so so glad, It made a grand improvement in driving... 18 Inch VIP..

There is simply no sense in needing a steering wheel with the same diameter
as the wheels holding the tires!!!!

None of these beasties steer worth a hoot if the power steering goes out.
You will hit something or else. I am over the days of "Strongarm" steering.

I do not have power steering so I want to keep my big wheel. Does anyone know where to get a new big wheel. Mine is kind of beat up. GMC S8M 5303

Anyone that does not want their old 1960's vintage steering wheels I would love to have them.

Doesn't VIP make 22" wheels if you want them?
