Lonnie -

As Doug (Tekebird) says, you'll need four books:  Detroit Diesel, Parts Book, Maintenance Manual and an Operator's Manual.

Doug may still have some paper copies, or you can get the CDs, as has already been mentioned.

There's also a fellow on eBay that often sells GMC & MCI manuals.  His eBay ID is Paul4, and he's in British Columbia.  Might see what he's got, too.

Finally, what's the VIN on your new toy?  P8M4905A - XXXX?

I got my manuals from Dean's coach in Chapel Hill, NC You can probably find them on a google search some how. They had new ones.
I have cd manuals for some other vehicles but much prefer the paper ones.

Time,

Sorry, I don't have anything you could use at this time.

Good luck with your adventure.

Time,

Man If you are worried about a few dollars more to ship a manual from CA or somewhere other than Michigan.......I would hate to be around when you have to buy some parts.

FYI -

P8M4905A-1265 was delivered new as fleet number 531 in December of 1975 to Stanley Cupp, dba Valley Coach Lines Company, based in Clio, MI.

As for the books, the Operator's Manual will be the least expensive, between $10 - $25 or so.  The Parts Book and Maintenance Manual will run around $25 - $75 each.  You can, IIRC, still order a brand new 8V71 Detroit Diesel Maintenance Manual directly from a Detroit distributor for about $120 - but it comes in two big 3-inch three-ring binders, and fills them both.

Enjoy your new toy!

Looking for an Operator's Manual for your 4905?

Check eBay #230264215744

While you're at it, see what other items Paul4's got listed this week.  You might find something else useful.
