Like Ace said, looks like they don't care if they sell anything or not, the board is making more effort to circulate their catalog than they are.

I have their catalog scanned but now what to do with it?
55 pages the scan looks better then the original.
take a look at the eBay store its better then the catalog anyhow.

I don't know, the ebay site only seems to have 11 items on it right now.  Hopefully a catalog would have a few more.

Ok I know the stuff they have looks good and probably 1st quality but man I can buy a LOT of fuel for what they want for some trim pieces. Matter of fact, I can fill it up!

Think I'll just bite the bullet and make my own! Heck 20 ga SS can't be that hard to work with!

A tail light trim kit, for one side mind you, is $797.98

The rear louver kit which covers each fiberglass section on my motor cover is $849.37

Now the front head light trim is ONLY $125.26   EACH side!

Heck the rear letters that say "PREVOST" are only $183.72

Maybe this is why nobody is getting a catalog!!!!

Like I said, I think I can do a good enough job on my own and be money ahead to use for fuel if nothing else!

My experience dealing with IBP has led me to believe that failure to receive a catalog from them might in fact be a good thing.

Obviously, enough people are paying those prices to keep IBP in business.

The prices may be high, but if you paid yourself $50 an hour how much would a DIY part cost?

Man, everyone has been bitchin abou prices lately. 

Stuff has always been more expensive for buses.....particularly body stuff.

keep in mind aalot of body stuff is brand specific if not model specific,  buses are produced in small numbers so there is alot less economy of scale.

of those buses how many will ever need X body part?  all this stuff needs to be produced, and carried in inventory with all it's associated costs.

Brian first off I wouldn't pay myself 50 bucks an hour! I already get more than that!

Bird, I'm not bitching but would YOU fork out almost 900 bucks for a light panel WITHOUT the lights or would YOU bitch?

Granted the company most likely has a source for water jetting some of these parts for them but $183.00 plus for 7 letters spelling "Prevost" is a little silly!

Most everything is just trim bling anyway and only cosmetic but still, if it were structural or safety, I might buy into it!

Lots to be said for making your own.

Please share the results of what worked well for working with SS sheet metal & where you were able to get the polished stainless.

The last we bought at work wasn't polished & was over $3.00/ pound & we got a discount for buying over 10,000#!
It was a PITA to work with too. 

BTW, we'd like to be able to get the water jetting as cheap as IBP found, they must have had a bunch made for that price!

Kyle, I didn't buy the scrap metal I'm using. It's 20g polished mirror finish that a friend of mine gave me from his bus project! (I'm sure I'll pay in the end LOL) but he told me he paid something like 300 bucks a sheet which is 4x10. Now I can make a LOT of neat stuff from a full sheet!
I am trying to make some rear light panels for my bus to house my new LED lights. So far, it has been fairly easy to work with. I tried a nibbler, tin snips, hole saw, and a jig saw. Jig saw got the most votes as it went right thru it like it was wood! I also used an air sander to finish the edges! Did I mention I have a friend that has a 12 foot long sheet metal shear? THAT came in real handy and he didn't charge me anything although I paid him anyway to shear my scrap down to size!
Hope my friend doesn't see me using the word "scrap"

If I wanted to and had a pattern, I COULD go down and have yet another friend do the water jetting for me but it just isn't worth it for just the Letters!

I'd say if I needed one I'd pay it.

My truck mirror got clipped buy some asshole that never stopped it was almost 300.00 not including labor to put it on.  and there tens of thousands of those trucks running around

Needed and wanted fall into 2 very different catagories!
Your mirror got clipped and you NEEDED a replacement. I don't NEED some the items I listed the prices on but WOULD "WANT" them if they were priced respectfully!

yeah yeah I would like alot of stuff if it were priced better,

a nice 300 sq ft home on a small lake with a 3 bay bus garage, a nice cabin calss twin engine aircraft, a 40 foot or so sailboat....list goes on.

If you want bad enough buy...if not wanted bad don;t buy.

look at all the guys paying good money for LED conversion, or ugly R&M fiberglass bits.  thats all Want not need

Ahh, my favorite place to shop, at friends discard/ left-over piles  Good prices too 
(too bad there aren't more of those around)

Access to a good shear sure helps keep the edges straight. 

Holding it while using the hole saw can be a challenge, if it grabs, it can do some serious damage.   

One man's scrap = another's treasure.

As for the pattern, developing one can eat a lot of money is when it comes to cnc cutting.
