Take, that is one of the  DART model 15 buses and rust is not a problem it's built with corten steel  fwiw

Songman

Wow. That is a good deal at $11k.

Dale, that would be a good, but when you replace the siding at least I would that will cost about 15Gs for the siding, the breast plate and those ugly a** transit bumpers you would have some dollars invested.I hate that when the siding gets painted on a Eagle but it looks like a solid bus by looking at the side walls and would make a good conversion for someone

Songman

I was thinking the same thing about the painted siding. Figured it might be able to be stripped though. The though of trying to replace siding on an entire bus scares me to death, especially those rounded corners!

I didn't even pay attention to the bumpers... but yeah, those would need to go to.

I guess I'll just have to live with the 96 for the time being. I'm sitting at a good starting point without a lot of unnecessary work needed.

Why not save $15k and leave the siding as-is?  I know a lot of you prefer the polished aluminum look, but $15k would buy a lot of fuel.

The big issue I see is the bifold doors.

Belfert, bi fold doors are not that big of deal on a Eagle you use the 2 to make a one piece door install hinges and reskin you are there
