Why is that if a man alone blows up an airliner it is an act of TERRORISM?  Then, when a plane falls out of the sky because a wing fell off due to lack of safety inspections, that is called "THE MARKET SELF-CORRECTING"? ???

It ain't funny McGee! :'(

Had small engine fire and had no 12 volt system at time of purchase.
Coach is all 110 w 14KW diesel genrator

We can blame politics but I think you have to consider intent

When the wing falls off  you lose your customers and have to settle the claims

When on man does it he thinks he will be rewarded with the virginians

If it won't go FORCE it ---- if it breaks it needed to be replaced anyway

on a brighter note what do you think of Sir Rambler---->  (New Design and Rambilizer) blood lines

I think we generally recognize motive and intent as being crucial to evaluating any act.  For example, buying a bus to transport people for a business is totally sane, while ....

Skip,

I ned more info on that.  Don't understand Rambilizer ??? Get back to me....hate to miss somthing as big as what we can get on a BUS BB.

I like that brighter note idea.  We need as many laughs as possible.  I sure do, anyway.

John,
When I look at my grand-daugthers I sometime wonder what messes we are leaving behind. My bus by the looks of it
will be one of the most charished legacies I'll leave..........IF I ever get it done! then maybe I'll leave it for
them to finish :)

To cheer myself up I change the subject to my ponies...........my other kids as it were.

I have a healthy 3 week old filly that is full of spit and fire.

topside  Rambilizer (rodeo and barrel gets) out of sir Rambler.
bottom  Newdy out of New Design on the top Line bred Skipper W on the bottom.
both studs are out of sir Rambler.
Her older brothers are showing speed and athletisism...............

Last year one of the New Design horses I sold as a 3yr old now 8 was making the owner quit a bit of money.
More than once she was offered 6 figures and turned them down. Looking back she should have taken the money
because I have more for her in the pen waiting.
no back yard pets in this crowd.
I am proud of my kids and ponies.

I think we all need something we are proud of and worked hard to get there. The bus can be it or other things
but being positive is sometimes hard work and a habit.

take care

Melbo,

"Settling" USED TO BE THE DETERANT.....no more.  At least not in Texas or so I have been led to believe.  In the Lone Star State you are limited to $200K MAX for pain and suffering and you will be darn Lucky to get MAX.  They REFORMED their Tort law down there.  The airlines won't even pay funeral expense cause that would be "an admission of guilt".  Your family is on its own for 7 years til the thing comes to trial.  At $200K it is cheaper to NOT do the inspections and pay up when caught.  Calling this situation "political" is to say that it is a contrived issue that is made up with the intent being to embarrass some one.  Illegitimate, if you will.  Imagine being told that your being bereaved at the loss of a loved one is a "politically motivated" expression.  That you and your children being impoverished is, on your part, political.  There seems to be an ever greater lack of responsibility/accountability.  That is at least a large part of our oil/fuel supply cost problem.  The supply remains undiminished and adequate but the cost has ballooned.  These people do not answer to anyone for anything and we are suffering as Bus Knutz because of their being insulated.  A prime example is the recent finding of the US Court of Appeals regarding Christie Todd Whitman's responsibility regarding her giving public assurances to the NY Fire Department that the air at ground ZERO was safe to breath.  The first 60 floors of the World Trade Center were insulated with ASBESTOS.  The law changed during its construction.  I recently read that EVERY fireman that worked on the PILE has developed serious respiration problems and some have died as a result.  Christie was found to be "not culpable", overturning a lower court finding, because it was proved that she had received "assurance" from the White House that it was a safe environment for the firemen.  She also received dire warnings to the contrary that the first responders and workmen were working in asbestos dust up to their knees and that that stuff was less toxic that other contaminants.  Multiple credible scientific sources.  Is it any wonder that Oil Company execs sit before Congress and declare that their $40 Billion tax break is "needed" by them?  Where is the lack of incentive for these people to rape us?  I don't think our mutual disgust or sustained damage with/from this system can be explained away as politically motivated.  Not legitably, at any rate.  These guys ARE being rewarded with "VIRGINS" in the here and now.  I agree with you Melbo.

Skipn,

Thanks.  I love horses, or the thought of them at least.  The very first book I can remember reading was about a Rancher and his horse. Never had one myself and I have barely ridden enough to say honestly that I have done that.  Animals are a true joy to any lover and I am one.  You are to be envied and your success....well, nothing speaks louder.  I have two Manchester terriers that I dote on and I think I can identify with you on that score and probably many others.  I wish you well and all manner of success.  Do you let your horses sleep with you?

John,

"Do you let your horses sleep with you?"
No just barely enough room for my wife, me and the weimaraner :)
Though when the kids were growing up they did get caught riding their horses into the house and always
letting the goat or the pot belly pig in.............darn I miss those days
I'll have to teach the grand kids the same antics when the time comes.
That way I'll be sure and have the grand kids with me exploring the country in the bus :)

Gus,

Every once in a while we take a break from the norm stuff we all love. ;D  Sorta makes us all well rounded....if not seriously overweight. ::)  There were ten posts till yours and nine were less than condescendingly negative, at least as I count it :P  That makes you that "ten percent" Gus. :o  But don't be too proud, I am certain there are more and the numbers aren't all that.......LOL  The moderators can shuffle something off to the OT section anytime they please and we all accept that, at least I do. ;D  Hate to think that anybody would be infuriated by the OT section :(.  The "joke of the day"  must tic somebody off somewhere simply as a concept, right? ;)

Have a good day Buddy,

Your fellow Knut,

John

Paul told me to use more of those "happy symbols" as this is a flat medium and people sometimes take you more seriously than you take yourself and missunderstand your true intent....hope I used enuf to prove my humility.
