I have finally had a little time to post a few pictures of my progress on the bus.  Eventhough I have had the bus for a year and a half I really just got started in February of this year.
Thanks to everyone here on this forum for sharing their experiences, it has been a great help to me.  I will continue to post pictures of my progress on my site www.dwolson.com

Welcome to the community Doug!  Nice shop, if I would have done anything differently its build me a shop before I started my project!  It would totally change the environment!  Keep up the great work!

I am using Penguin roof heat pumps, I haven't measured the overall height yet and I do not have the roof airs installed.  But my calculated height overall will be 12' 5 1/2", is that too tall?  My delivery trucks are 12' 7" so I do not think I will have any problems.

Hi Doug,

Well, your bus itself is higher then me [ I'm 11.6 ] + my old 12" sat.. and I smashed my Sat dome last fall on a railroad bridge. Now I switched to

the 5" high KVH A-7 to give myself a buffer when off the interstates.

There are many Interstate overpasses that are posted 13 feet, just be very sure of your height.

There is always something that you don't think of, I was figuring 9+" on the ac units so I guess with a 12" dome my height overall would be more like 12' 8 1/2" which is getting up there.  I havent bought my sat system yet so at some piont soon I would like to talk to you about that 5" KVH

I am trying to see your great conversion process and enjoy the fruits of your labor.  Those of us doing this can appreciate what you are doing.  If I can ask a favor of you, the photos on your website are huge when we click on them and my screen does not have enough travel to see them all.  It would have to be about 10 wide and 8 ft. high.  I don't mean to be a pia, is anyone else having this problem?  Perhaps it is my personal computer??  Dolson has some great information there but I know I can't see it all.

No problem see the pics in no0rmal view on my pc! Maybe it's your settings! In fact the pics only take up 3/4 of my screen!

By the way, nice job on what your doing! I also bought my bus from Easters! Would I buy from Bobby again? Probably, now that I know WHO I am dealing with! LOL

Not only are some 13 feet, they often don't get corrected when the road is repaved, adding another couple of inches.  I think this may be more prevalent off the interstate system and in the older cities.

There is a railroad bridge in Florida where the road dips and rises very quickly under the bridge.  I saw a semi get stuck there when the front of the trailer cleared the bridge but as the tractor started up the incline the rear third of the trailer caught the bridge.

Here is a new note on my dilema on not being able to see the photos submitted by Dolson.  I use AOL, (Stinks) and this program will not automatically downsize the photos in size.  My friend from Kentucky and I do have have some, had me try to use Internet Explorer to go and see this same web site and there you go.  I got to see all the great photos as I wanted.

Sooooo, I hope this will help others using AOL that may have this problem as it can peeve you off.   If your photos are oversized using AOL, use another Browzer!!
Len Silva, what are you posting here on this thread? I am lost.  I must be a real butt wipe today.
