The following photos are of a bus Cat and I found in Overpeck, Ohio.

I think you would need to be willing to do almost a frame off restoration. The roof leaks in multiple places and the floor is dangerously rotted in many spots. Bad enough that I didn't walk too far into it.

I love the driver A/C. Truly a redneck conversion.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, a good Reisling in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming:  WOO HOO, what a ride

I knew the minute I saw  the first couple of pics that it was a Fageol city bus, Dallas. I'd ridden to and from school on many of them thanking God that the City had gotten rid of the old Fords.

But please don't think that I'm picking on you for not recognizing it immediately.  After all, only God and I are this old!

I converted a 1946 Fageol Twin Coach in 1967. My wife and 4 kids enjoyed it for 10 years. The 404 cubic inch gas engine got about 8 miles/gallon. The pancake 6 cylinder engine has a chain driven overhead roller cam designed by Fageol. It had a 2 speed Spicer automatic transmission. They originally came out with 2 engines tied together but had problms synchronizing them and converted them all back to one engine. The body was an all aluminum monocoupe and it only weighed about 18000 pounds converted.
A great bus for its time.

Well,

Here the oldy I found in oHIo looks like it is now a thing of the past...

No one wanted it or loved it and it looks like it just laid over on it's side and died of a broken heart.
