I would like to put two slide outs on my truck project-one in the back to extend the bed rearward by 24" and a 92" slide out up front on the left side for the sleeper sofa.  I called HWH and they referred me to Morrisons VIP Coach in Sanger, Ca (closest to L.A.).  I talked to Paul Morrison and explained what I wanted to do, and he came up with a rough cost of $12,000 each!  I can respect his cost in that he's done alot and they don't come back for repair, but quite honestly, I can't afford $24,000 to put in two slides.  My question-has anyone done their own slide and what mechanism did they use since HWH will not sell to the public.  Thanks, Good Luck, TomC

Hi Tom
I have Dave's book on slideouts. If you give me your snail mail address I will send it to you and I'll pay the postage. When I bought the book, Dave told me about Walt's RV in Fontana, CA having slideout mechanisms. They may still have them. Anyway, good luck with your project.

Tom,
My PO put a slide in his Eagle. His handle here is RMC. He lurks here occasionally so he might respond. Otherwise check his profile maybe for his email address. I know he is in the process of moving and building a new house (and shop) so he might not be around much.
I'll touch base with him offline and see if he has any observations.

TomC if Morrison gave you a price for 2 HWW floor level hydraulic slides at a $1000.00 per ft your are going to have a tough time beating that price he wanted almost 3 times that amount from me, but my coach is finished inside and out so that could be the difference in price.TomC I know Barker will sale direct to you      www.barkermfg.com
