I toured all of the infield camp grounds at daytona this year and only saw 4 home style conversions -- didn't count the factory Preverts! Only 2 eagles there.

busguy01, have you priced the camping at Nascar events the motor home vista not the infield at PIR is $3000.00 plus the addmission

busguy01

Yep, sure have as I go to as many as 8 or 9 a year. The infield is MUCH cheaper than the "Vista" parking!

I thought the infield would cost more but then I don't go to NASCAR races went to one at Las Vegas and that was enough for me same goes for a FMCA rally

The whole run from tampa to union city, we only saw a few buses, nothing like we saw on the way south last fall, with fuel so high, maybe people need to get their prioities in line with reality, do we really need 3 meals a day? Think about it, we're a nation of big people, just cutting down on the luxury items like food would really free up some fuel money.

I can second that comment.  During our recent trip from Tampa to Hermosillo, Mexico, there were only 3 conversions seen, an MC7, 9 and one Eagle.  And that was in 6K miles of driving.

I was talking to fulltimers in buses today at a RV park and ask why they were so late leaving AZ and most told me they are going to wait till it gets hot and were not planning on going to mountains in Utah or other states but traveling to Flagstaff about 250 miles not a 1000 mile trip so maybe others are thinking on the same lines

We are waiting till around the first of may before we leave Yuma and head north to the Seattle area.   Several reasons for this. 1. the weather is still nice, although tomorrow it is supposed to hit 100. 2.  A lot of people have alreay left so the stores and roads are not crowded which makes it a lot nicer here. 3 They have had a wet winter and spring so far in the NW. and my job running heavy equipment may not start up until some time in June. 4. i still have a project or two to finish on the bus and am waiting on money to be able to finish up. :)
Used to own a 1968 MCI 5A and a 1977 5C.

As I am in Vancouver WA and driving I-5 back and forth to Salem OR to visit my folks I have only seen two Prevosts heading south and two heading north.

The weather was great here this weekend but it's supposed to get colder and wetter...........again................268" snow base on Mt. Hood this time of year is unheard of! Then it's going to melt.

Stay south as long as you can. ;)
