I was talking to SIVRTNGE2 tonight and said something about him having the tallest windshields I had ever seen on an Eagle.  He said that he had always thought that too but that he was told they were 15 windshields. I don't think so, and his top cap is modified too and has hardly any slope to it. Of course, the bad part if I am right is that he needs to replace one of his windshields. Can any of you Eagle guys shed some light on his windshield and cap?

cody

Not sure about the cap but the windshield sure looks like a model 15 windshield to me, model 10 windshields are not as tall, that was one of the deciding factors to me when I looked at both models, less solar gain in front.

Dale, Bill has the windshields from a Belgain built Eagle Kortrijk Transcontinental bus or he could have the whole bus they were built up till 1987 by the MOL corporation. when Eagle started manufacturing the model 15 in 1985 they shorted the windshield by about 13 or 14 inches.the way he can tell of it's a MOL built bus it will have a air lifted tag axle not a boggie   fwiw

Eagle

That cap has been modified if it is an Eagle.  The Model 15's do not have the windows over the driver window or the entrance door.  It just does not look like a Model 15 Eagle.

The coach is a model 10. It was originally a 1982 year make, Cauldwell Coach converted the unit and retitled it as a 1994. It was built in Brownsville, Tx. for Tamiami Trailways where it ran the South Eastern states. It was later bought by a Mr. Fuller which is whom I purchased it from. I have been told the windshields are taller than the model 15.

Eagle

Bill the windshields on my 1985 Model 10 are 36"H x 47"W the Model 15's are at least 42"H x 47"W. Just from the pictures that coach looks to have been stretched to 45' and the cap has been modified.

You could contact Wyn Silver at Centeral Florida Tran., he had servel o f the inported models like the 15.  He may know where to get the windshelds.

Bill, I found a site where you can see your windshields on a Kortrijik Eagle a 1979 model long before the Model 15 I have some photos but haven't found a way to post them for you, so go here

http://busexplorer.com

go to NABX photos
click on Eagle
go to Belgium 79 Eagle (no photo till you click) and there you have it

have a great day

You nailed it, Clifford. I knew they were taller than a stock 15. Looks like that even solves the mystery of the cap, although they added a bit above the windshield. But it is the same slant and curvature as the Belgian Eagle. Makes you wonder where someone got the idea to modify it to those specs.

Now guys, please don't take this personal.....

But if you'll let those Iggles sit for a month or two they'll rust down to a standard size.

God Loves Iggles!
