I just talked to a dealer that offered 11r 22.5, Kelly Sringfield KSE tires for $225. each.  These are load range G and support 5800 lbs each as dual.  This seems to be more than enough for my MC5a rear axle.  Does anyone know of any reason this is not a reasonable deal?  The dealer is in San Jose if anyone else is interested.

The best tire for the money right now is the Toyo M 127. The 11/24.5 in my neighborhood is $297 installed. The 11/22.5 is $20 cheaper. This is one of the most popular truck tires for several reasons, mainly quality and tread wear. Made in the USA.

$1B in $1000 bills = 800 feet high.
$1T in $1000 bills = 142 miles high

I agree with NJT about the Toyo M 127, I tried two on the front and liked them so much I got four more for the rear.

Their popularity with truckers is also one reason I bought them, nothing worse than blowing an odd size or brand tire on the road and not being able to find a match.

Howdy!

If you're in the San Jose, CA area, then I know quite a few busnuts around the area...both motorhomers/converters and traditional "seated" busnuts...as well as some reputable shops.  I, myself, live about 1 hr north of San Francisco.

With regards to tires, you might try your local Costco.  A friend purchased some Michelin XZ series about a year ago...unfortunately I don't know the specific model, but the price was very reasonable.  The only problem was that Costco won't mount/balance/install...they just sold the tire...and it was a special order, so he had to wait a few days.

Hope this helps.
