I understand that some of the MCI 9s came with dual pane windows as optional equipment. Anybody got OEM dual pane? Does anyone know where to get some OEM dual panes. I am thinking about the inserts mentioned today but would only get two with sliders the rest solid.

Thanks

I thought mine were.... till I took them apart. They were just really thick plastic.

The same company that offers the sliders has solid dual panes for $375.

Grant,

Did you ever locate a source for "stock" MCI dual pane glass windows?  I was told they are out there in take outs and from yards.

Guys,

The only problem with "making" dual pane windows is that they are made from tempered glass.  A long time ago i looked into making double panes for my own application.  It wasn't all that involved and a cylinder if dry nitrogen was fine as a fill and they wanted argon....I think.  The advantage of rolling your own would be that you can use that really good glass that reflects UV and everything else including sparrows.  I think back then the gold tinted stuff was the best.
